The Other Half of the Craft: Shadow Work and Magical Integration

The most powerful magic you will ever do is the magic you do on yourself.

Every witch carries an inner underworld — the parts of the self that have been dismissed, denied, or driven underground. Carl Jung called it the Shadow. Witchcraft calls it the seat of your most untapped power.

This class is your lantern.

This class an immersive 120-minute introduction to shadow work as a living witchcraft practice. We begin with a witch's relationship with the inner underworld — not as something to fear or exorcise, but as something to meet, understand, and ultimately reclaim. Working with concepts like The Witch's Forge, we explore how genuine self-mastery is not built by polishing only your brightest facets, but by bringing your whole self into conscious relationship.

From there, we get practical. You'll learn to recognize the Mirror of Judgment — how the things that most irritate or disturb us in others are often the very things we've refused to see in ourselves. 

The second half of the class turns to tools and transformation. You'll work with shadow journaling techniques designed to bypass the ego's polished defenses, explore tarot and scrying as diagnostic mirrors for the hidden self, and be guided through a visualization to personify and speak directly with your shadow. A dedicated ritual segment covers shadow-infused spellwork — how raw, honest emotion, including anger, grief, and envy, becomes high-octane fuel when worked with intention rather than suppressed. We close with an Underworld Journey meditation to reclaim a lost fragment of yourself, and a grounding conversation about ethics, aftercare, and how to carry this work forward safely.

This class is not about becoming darker. It is about becoming whole.

By the end of this class, you will understand the Shadow Self not as something dangerous to avoid, but as a source of authentic power waiting to be integrated — and know the difference between suppression and the kind of conscious shadow work that genuinely transforms. You'll leave with the grounding, the language, and the ongoing tools to make shadow work a steady, lifelong practice of becoming a more whole — and therefore more potent — practitioner of the craft.
